Refugee Compassion is registered charity, which was founded by Rich and Becky Snaith in 2016 as a ministry of Aylesbury Vineyard.
Donations are collected and supplies are purchased using money from fundraising events. Supplies are delivered to the Help Refugees distribution centre. The food is donated to the Refugee Community Kitchen, an organisation that feeds thousands of refugees and supplies a network of volunteer-run kitchens in the refugee camps in northern France.
While in France, the teams spend time volunteering at the distribution centre, providing much needed assistance to sort donations and they also have an opportunity to meet with refugees.
Refugee Compassion is apolitical except insofar as it embraces the politics of Jesus. Its vision is simply to offer non-judgemental love and care to those who are in need, irrespective of how that came about — helping to fulfil what Jesus said, about the day people will meet him in his second coming:
